OUR STORY

Welcome to Nóta Póca.

In Irish, nóta póca means 'pocket note'. It is a small, tangible reminder of something important.

I started this shop in 2015, along with my partner when I began working from home. I quickly realized that the tools we use every day shape the quality of our work. The weight of a pen or the texture of a notebook isn't just a detail. It changes how we think and how we create.

Since then, the shop has grown into a collection of the things that help us pause, plan, and organize. We don't stock everything. We stock the right things.

Designed for the Modern Archivist

We believe that in a digital world, paper still matters. There is a specific clarity that comes from writing something down by hand.

Our curated collection of stationery is built on a balance of Japanese precision and European heritage. Every item on our shelves has been tested and used in our own home office. From the engineered minimalism of Midori to the classic reliability of Leuchtturm1917, these are tools designed to be used and loved, not just stored in a drawer.

From my Desk to Yours

We run Nóta Póca from our home in Galway, usually with a coffee in one hand and a packing list in the other.

As a new mother, my perspective on time has shifted. I have learned that the moments we take to plan our day or journal our memories are precious.

When you shop here, you aren't buying from a warehouse robot. You are supporting a small, independent Irish business. We pack every order ourselves, ensuring it arrives at your door looking as good as it feels.

Thank you for stopping by. Whether you are looking for a moment of calm or drafting your next big project, I hope you find something here that feels right in your hand.
